Drama 1 Syllabus Mr. Dan Barrett d[email protected] Planning: 12:05a.m.-1:15p.m.
This course provides students the opportunity to explore the exciting realm of the dramatic performing arts. The materials for the course consist of scripts, history, video, live performances, and journals. The assessments of students’ skill development and conceptual understanding include both traditional measures (i.e., quizzes and tests) and, more often, the students’ participation in activities and performances. The processes of acting and production will have the students on their feet and engaged vocally and physically on a daily basis. Students will have to be self-motivated to memorize lines and design blocking, and participate in collaborative projects.
